Over the weekend while I was flying my DJI Mini 2 drone in my backyard and ended up smacking it into a tree and crashing it. I’ve owned this drone for well over a year now and honestly I’m surprised I didn’t end up crashing it sooner.
While I could of easily repaired it myself, I decided to send it off for a replacement since I have insurance that covers this sort of thing.
My son owns the same drone
Interesting enough I learned after crashing mine that my oldest son actually owns the same drone that he bought back in March which he crashed the first day he owned it and hasn’t flown it since. Needless to say he didn’t have insurance on his drone.
My son attempted to fix his drone but wasn’t able to get it done so he brought it over to me to fix. Upon receiving his drone I got the new part installed and noticed he screwed up the power board while he was unsoldering it so I ordered a new one of those on ebay so I can replace that.

With any luck I’ll have his drone flying within a week and have plans to use his drone until mine is replaced. Once I get mine back I plan to teach my son how to fly his drone so hopefully he doesn’t crash it right away again.

Hello! How are you doing? We miss you!
