The post Putting the fence back up first appeared on Matt Crawford.]]> As I wrote about previously in my last blog post [Big storm blew down my fence] our fence got blown over by a strong wind that hit on Memorial Day and while I really really need to replace this fence it simply isn’t in the budget currently.

For now the goal is to put the fence back up how it was by replacing the snapped off fence posts and replacing them with new posts.

Here are some photos I took while replacing the first snapped off fence post.

Fence is all back up how it was for now and now I simply just need to save up money to replace the fence.

The post Lawnmower Dilemma first appeared on Matt Crawford.]]> For the last couple years I have been using a junky John Deere L100 lawn mower to mow my yard. The mower has never really been a good one even when I first bought the thing. It would smoke and leak all sorts of oil.

Well, I tried to replace the head gasket on my junk John Deere mower. I did finally get it replaced, got the head torqued back down but the mower still doesn’t run properly.

Out of frustration I decided to give up on working on the mower out and brought the mower repair shop for them to figure it out. The repair shop thought it was a bad or broken camshaft so I decided to scrap the mower.

New Mower

I bought a brand new Gravely zero turn mower to replace the broken down John Deere once I determined that I didn’t want to spend more money trying to repair that thing.

To be honest, I’ve been wanting to buy a new zero turn mower for quite some time anyways! In the end it all worked out.
